World Map Cupboard Knobs

Change the look of a wardrobe or set of drawers by decorating cupboard knobs and replacing the old ones. I made these world map cupboard knobs for a set of fitted wardrobes with several doors. Each of the knobs feature special places we have visited.



You will need
  • Plain wooden cupboard knobs (preferably with quite a flat top)
  • Paint
  • Mod podge
  • Map (I used a sheet of world map wrapping paper)
  • Scissors

    • Method
  • Paint the wooden knobs in the colour of your choice. I chose a smokey blue.



  • Cut out circles from the map to fit onto the top of the cupboard knob.



  • Apply Mod Podge to the back of the map circle and press onto the top of the cupboard knob.



  • Paint several coats of Mod Podge over the whole cupboard knob to seal.
  • When dry, screw the map cupboard knob onto the wardrobe door.
