Reindeer Christmas Card

Reindeer Christmas Card

Posted 2014-12-20 by Lindsay Lawfollow
This craft was inspired by a reindeer Christmas decoration which I've always loved. I combined it with sheet music and a stamp to make a simple Christmas card.

Materials
  • Square blank greeting card
  • Reindeer template (if you don't have one like mine, then you can print one off a free site, or simply draw your own template on card).
  • Sheet music
  • Pencil
  • Craft knife
  • Red pen
  • Glue
  • Christmas greeting stamp
  • Black ink pad

  • Method
  • Draw round the reindeer template on the sheet music.

  • Cut out the reindeer carefully with a craft knife. Then repeat and cut out a second reindeer.

  • Stick the reindeer onto the card. It looks better if they are facing in opposite directions as it makes a symmetrical-looking card.

  • I coloured in the reindeer's nose before I stuck it down, but that made the glue smudge it slightly. It would be better to colour in the nose with red pen last once you have done everything else.

  • Pick a suitable stamp for the top-centre of the card. If you don't have a stamp, you could neatly write a Christmas message.

  • Add any other embellishments you like. You could make the reindeer's red nose glittery. Or, like me, you could add a sticker - I couldn't resist one that read 'reindeer post'.
