If you have pictures you would like to group together but the pictures are different sizes, try this method to get a consistent art wall. This would be a great idea for displaying kids art work too!

Materials:
  • 12 X 12 inch picture frames (scrapbook picture frames)
  • Scrapbook paper (12 X 12 inches)
  • Sharp craft knife
  • Ruler

  • Method:
  • Choose heavy weight sheets of scrapbook paper. You will have choice in colours and textures so be creative if you like!
  • Measure your pictures and determine what size opening you would like in the mat.

  • My pictures were 6 X 8 inches and 8 X 8 inches.

  • Measure out the opening on the back of your paper and using a sharp craft knife and ruler, cut along the lines.

  • Insert the mat and picture into your frame.
  • Hang on your wall.

  • Looking to liven up your walls with more than just a few photos? Try the Moroccan style wall stencil shown here !
