Colourful Peg Garden Markers

Decorate some wooden dolly pegs to make some colourful markers for a vegetable bed or flower pot.



Materials
  • Wooden dolly pegs
  • Acrylic paint
  • Spray varnish
  • Masking tape (optional)

    • Method
  • Paint the wooden pegs with the acrylic paint. You could paint them a uniform colour or try different patterns such as stripes.
  • Try using masking tape to make a neat line if you're making stripes.

  • Slide over the edge of a cardboard box to allow the paint to dry.

    • Pegs drying


  • Spray with varnish to protect the paint.



    • If you're using the pegs as markers in a vegetable bed, tie a length of garden twine around the necks of two pegs and press them into the soil to mark out the seed drill.
