Want to make some quick, simple and designer style creations on special occasions such as wedding, birthday party, valentine day, anniversary, mother's and father's day, or want to brighten up an area with heart themes? This is just so easy, you now have no excuse for not knowing how to make some little surprises for the ones you love.
Materials
old magazines or brochures
scissors
glue
paper/card boards
Method
Search the pages with the color tone you like from some old magazines or brochures. I prefer to chose those magazines that have better and thicker paper quality.
Fold one edge to meet another edge. Repeat a few times on the same page.
Draw a few half-heart shapes along the folded edge.
Cut them out. Repeat with other folded pages.
Open. You have got tons of different size, different lovely color pattern symmetrical hearts.
This is a relatively easier and quicker way to duplicate or multiply symmetric shapes without failure.
Chose a white, colour or vintage paper/board. Select, mix and match, then arrange those you're are pleased to have them on the paper.
After deciding what you like and how to arrange, glue them on the paper board.
Make a signature if you like. Yeah, that becomes your own signature design.
Make a series for the theme. Mine is "one to four hearts".
Put the pictures on the frames. Do they look contemporary and fancy?
Using the same method, you can cut a lot of other symmetrical shapes such as butterfly, tree, leave, balloon, fish and so on in just a few minutes.
Use the shapes to create your own designs on pictures, cards, tags, boxes and so on.
