Unusual antique church chapel chairs

I bought mine from Antique Church Furnishings in Walton-on-Thames, UK. We had great fun rummaging though the antique church salvage in the fascinating warehouse, although they will ship internationally.

My chairs are real church antiques and were acquired by Antique Church Furnishings when a local church was being renovated.

The chairs each have an interesting wooden shelf on the back which would have once held a Bible or hymn book. For a chair at home, it makes a great shelf for holding some small books or decorations.

The shelf on the back of the chair is a really interesting feature

Made from beautifully smooth solid wood and starting around 25 plus VAT per chair, they are an absolute bargain - who needs IKEA?
